公务员英语培训有效性探索

Exploration on the Effectiveness of English Training for the Civil Servants

自贸新时代急需构建一支国际化素质的公务员队伍,因此,强化英语培训,提升英语能力是公务员面临的新机遇、新挑战。通过对广东省委党校2014年第一期五个班次(包括厅级班、县处班、任职班、初任班和中青班)的四百多名公务员进行问卷调查,课题组发现公务员因其英语运用能力难以满足工作需要,有较强烈的英语培训需求。为此,课题组概述了国内外公务员英语学习和培训基本情况,分析了公务员英语应用和培训需求现状,进而提出了提高英语培训有效性的相应对策。

The new era of free trade requests a civil servant team with internationalized quality,and therefore it is a new opportunity and challenge for the civil servants to improve their English competence through intensive training. The research team has made a survey of the English competence of civil servants in Guangdong Province,covering more than 400 civil servants of different official ranks from five classes in the first term in 2014. It is found that the English competence of those civil servants could not meet the needs of official work and they have a strong desire for English training. This paper analyzes the English application of the civil servants and the necessity for training and puts forward the relevant strategies to enhance the effectiveness of English training.
