翻译的最理想效果是实现译文的音美、形美、意美。然而由于英汉语分属两个不同的语言体系,互译中常常很难做到对等转换,这就是所谓语言的不可译性。拟从语音、词汇和句法结构三个立体层面来分析这一问题,以寻求解决途径。

A desirable target text should bear beauty in meaning, sound and form. However, as English and Chinese belong to two different language systems, equivalent transformation would often be impossible, and untranslatability appears. In this paper, the author tries to solve the problem by exploring from such three dimensional levels as phonology, word formation, and syntax.
