An Evaluation Method to Scientific Research Outputs Based on Factor Analysis and its Application

自从2005年Hirsch提出h指数以后,针对h指数在现实应用中的一些弊端,国内外诸多学者重新提出了多种类h指数.考虑到各种指数的适用性,本文采用因子分析的方法对多种指数值进行分析和处理,得到一个综合评价值Y后再进行科研排名.文章还将该方法应用到具体实例中,并根据Y与其他指数的相关性,得出最接近于Y的指数.

Since Hirsch set forth an h - index in 2005, a series of derivative indexes for avoiding the shortcomings of it were put forward by many domestic and foreign scholars. Taking the applicability of those indexes into considera- tion, this paper uses factor analysis method to find a comprehensive evaluation value Y associated to them. It is ap- plied to a typical example to illustrate the method, where the closest index to the value Y is figured out by comparing the correlation coefficients between the indexes and Y.
