摘要
DNA双加氧酶TET家族是新发现的一类表观遗传修饰蛋白,能够将DNA的5-甲基胞嘧啶氧化为5-羟甲基胞嘧啶,进而调控基因的表达。多项研究显示,TET1-3在中枢神经系统表达丰富,其潜在的生物功能也被广泛关注。本文从TET蛋白结构功能概述、TET蛋白在中枢神经系统的表达及功能以及针对TET家族的基因敲除小鼠实验三方面作一综述。
DNA dioxygenase TET family is a recently discovered proteins involved epigenetic modification,which can oxidize the 5-methylcytosine of DNA into 5-hydroxymethylcytosine and thereby regulate gene expression.Accumulative studies have shown that TET1-3 was abundantly expressed in the central nervous system, and its potential functions were beginning to be studied. This paper gives an overview of the structure and functions of TET, its potential roles in the central nervous system, and also the TET gene knockout experiments.
