摘要
346名中英大学生参加了跨文化敏感度测评,结果显示:英国学生的跨文化敏感度比中国学生高。中国学生的总体跨文化敏感处于中等水平,这与学生对待跨文化交际能力的态度以及课程的设置有关,同时缺少跨文化的实际交际机会是造成跨文化敏感水平不高的客观原因。英方学生的总体跨文化敏感处于良好水平,这与英国的地理环境、学生的生活与学习环境有关。在构成跨文化敏感的五个因素中,中国学生的差异认同感最强,其次是交际参与度、交际愉悦感和交际专注度,交际信心最弱。英国学生的差异认同感也是最强,其次是交际愉悦感、交际参与度和交际信心,交际专注度最弱。中英学生的交际信心和交际专注度都比差异认同感、交际参与度、交际愉悦感弱些。主要原因是:中英学生对异国文化中深层文化的了解不够充分。
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the level of intercultural sensitivity (ICS) of the Chinese and the British students. The results indicate that the Chinese students' level of ICS generally remains medium. Among the five constructs of the Intercultural Sensitivity Scale, the Chinese students get the highest mark at Respect for Cultural Differences, the second at Interaction Engagement, the third at Interaction Enjoyment, and the forth at Interaction Attentiveness, while the lowest mark at Interaction Confidence. The British students' level of ICS appear to be higher than the Chinese students. Among the five con- structs of the Intercultural Sensitivity Scale, the British students get the highest mark at Respect for Cultural Differences, the second at Interaction Enjoyment, the third at Interaction Engagement, and the forth at Interaction Confidence, while the lowest mark at Interaction Attentiveness.
