Parkinson’s disease (PD) is a chronic progressive disease of the central nerve system. There are evidence showed that characteristic changes in pathology can appear before clinical symptoms in so-called pre-motor stage. Functional imaging techniques as PET/SPECT have been wildly used in diagnosis of PD, mainly targeting the dopamine function in nigrostriatal system. The application of PET/SPECT in diagnosis of PD in the pre-motor stage was reviewed.
