新型城镇化事关中国现代化建设全局,是转变发展方式、扩大国内需求的战略重点,是解决"三农"问题的重要途径,也是2020年全面建成小康社会,实现中国梦的时代要求。新型城镇化的核心是人口城镇化。要推进新型城镇化,首先要解决的是农民市民化问题。成人教育是一种最紧密贴近新型城镇化核心内在要求的教育形式,在助推农民市民化过程中所能发挥的功能作用是其他教育形式所无法替代的。当前,需要着力发展成人教育,以推进新型城镇化建设的进程。

The new type of urbanization matters China＇s modernization construction. It is the strategic focus of the development mode transformation and domestic demand expansion. It is not only the important way to solve the problem of ＂agriculture, rural areas and farmers＂, and also the demand of the times to build a well - off society in an all - round way to realize Chinese dream in 2020. The heart of the new type of urbanization is the urbanization of population. We need to promote the new urbanization by solving the farmers＇ urbanization. Adult education is a form of education which is most close to the core requirement of the new urbanization and can play a role that other forms of education can＇t replace in the process of boosting the urbanization of farmers. At present, we need to focus on the development of adult education in order to promote the course of the construction of new type of urbanization.
