The local village, Bar Ri, is situated about 10 kilometers outside Penpa, almost at the base of the Himalaya Mountains. One may wonder how the economic situation and social development as well as the livelihood of local people living atsuch a remote place may be. With these questions in minds, a research team consisting of very interested individuals was finally able to conduct a study concerning this very issue.
