新城黄楼台基为唐长安城宫城南城垣考

The Suggestion that the Foundation of the Yellow House at Xincheng Square is the South Wall of the Palace City of the Chang'an City of the Tang Dynasty

新城黄楼台基高约3米,长约57米。黄楼的两侧各有一排窑洞,在西排窑洞的西侧还有一个称为"内城墙"的高台。笔者经过查阅相关资料、反复现场踏勘后,通过其位置与唐宫城南城垣遗址重合,两侧窑洞的出现,"内城墙"的历史作用等方面考证,认为新城黄楼的台基及两侧窑洞、为唐长安城宫城南城垣之一部分。

The foundation platform of the Yellow House in present-day Xincheng Square, Xi＇an City is about 3 m tall and 57 m long. On each of the two sides of the Yellow House, there are a row of dwelling caves;to the west of the western row of dwelling caves, there is a high platform called as“Inner City Wall”. By reviewing relevant textual materials and many times of onsite survey, the author of this paper drew the conclusion that the foundation platform and the dwelling caves on its two sides were a part of the south wall of the palace city of the Chang＇an City of the Tang Dynasty through the conifrmation of the overlapping of the courses of the south wall of the palace city of the Sui and Tang Dynasties and the foundation of the Yellow House, the appearance of the dwelling caves and the function of the“Inner City Wall”in the history.
