“Reading Course” Reform Aimed at Improving Students' Humanistic Quality and Academic Research Ability

在"学术用途英语"研究热潮的启发与推动下,本文作者在英语专业一年级《英语阅读》课上试行教学改革,探索了一种通过文学阅读和批评提高学生理解能力、人文素养和学术研究能力的教学方法,激发了学生的学习兴趣并使其初步掌握了学术研究的基础知识。

Inspired and propelled by the trend of 'English for Academic Purposes', the author of this paper, in carrying out a reform of Reading Course for the freshmen of English majors, experiments with a teaching method that aims to improve students' comprehension, humanistic quality and academic research ability by reading and criticizing literary works, which proves to be of interest to the students while providing them with the basic knowledge about academic research.
