摘要
慕课(MOOC)以其大规模、开放性、在线教育等特点给传统大学英语教学带来了挑战。本文从分析慕课的四大构成要素,即视频、习题、讨论、考核入手,理性探讨慕课可以提高教育质量,降低教育成本的有效性和促成终身教育和个性化教育的有限性。在慕课背景下,新时代大学英语教师要以慕课为契机,探索出新的教学模式,以慕课为平台,转换自身角色,不断跟上时代发展的步伐。
MOOC with its characteristics such as large-scale,openness,online education brings the new challenges to the traditional college English teaching. This article starts from the analysis of the four elements of MOOC,namely,video,exercise,discussion,evaluation,rationally discusses that MOOC can improve the quality of education,reduce the effectiveness of the education cost,promote lifelong education and break the limitations of individualized education. Under the background of MOOC,college English teachers in the new era should take MOOC as the opportunity to explore new teaching mode,regard MOOC as a platform,transform their roles,constantly keep up with the pace of development of the times.
