India-Korea Relations and Implications: A Geopolitical Perspective

本文从地缘战略视角详细论述了冷战结束后韩、印两国在政治、安全和经济领域合作进程。印度"东向"战略与韩国的"新亚洲外交"战略逐步融合,极大地提升了印度在东亚地区的地位与影响力,在一定程度上弱化了中国在东亚地区的政治与经济影响力,客观上起到了对中国在南亚影响力提升的一种反制作用。

This paper discusses the different aspects of India's ties with Korea,including political,security and economic cooperation in the context of the post-cold war geopolitical shift. It argues that India's 'Look East'strategy tends to increasingly interact with South Korean'New Asian Diplomacy'and greatly promotes India's position and influence in East Asia. India's strategic interaction with Korea has weakened China's political and economic clout in the region and become a countermeasure against China's interest to expand its influence in South Asia.
