汉魏六朝碑刻中有大量的加形字,所加的形符既是创造形声字的类型之一,也是构成异体字的原因之一。认真研究汉魏六朝碑刻文献中的加形字,沟通字词关系,总结加形字的类型、原因、作用及影响,对于识读和整理古籍、研究汉字发展史,都具有积极的意义。

There are a lot of form-added characters in the stone inscriptions of Han, Wei and the following six dynasties. The added forms or symbols not only contribute to the formation of some Chinese phonograms, but also to the creation of vari- ant characters. It is of positive significance to study carefully the form-added characters in the stone inscriptions of Han, Wei and the following six dynasties, clarify the relations among characters and words, and generalize their types, roots, functions and influence for the reading and sorting of ancient works and for the study of evolvement of Chinese characters.
