农业工程学院于2013年5月在原农业工程系基础上成立,前身是原洛阳工学院'农业机械设计制造'学科,该学科1960年开始招收'农业机械设计与制造'专业本科生。经过50余年的发展,学院已成为博士、硕士、本科、卓越人才等多层次的人才培养基地,拥有农业工程省级重点学科、机械工程(农业机械设计制造方向)一级学科博士学位授予权、农业工程一级学科硕士点,以及农业机械化工程、农业电气化。

The College of Agricultural Engineering originated from the Agricultural Engineering Department in May 2013 on the basis of the department of ＂Agricultural Machine Design and Manufacture＂, this discipline has been started to recruit the undergraduate students majored in ＂Agricultural Machine Design and Manufacture＂. After 50 years of development, the college has become a comprehensive educational base with multiple programs, including Ph. D. , master, undergraduate, excellent talents, and provincial key discipline of Agricultural Engineering.
