The paper introduces the technical features for the internal and external thermal insulation of exterior walls of buildings, researches some problems including unqualified materials, construction quality and unreasonable residents＇ usages in the external wall thermal insulation of existing buildings, and provides respective solutions, so as to ensure the external wall thermal insulation adheres to the national and regional ener- gy-saving requirements.
