With the research based on the animal medicines from the collected data in Chinese Ethnic Medicine, the phylogenetic relationships of endemic ethnic curatives used by seven local ethnic minority groups in Yunnan were analyzed. The results showed that their use of such medicines were different and the De'ang and the Achang used them more than other ethnic minority groups, while there was no record by the Pumi, the Nu and the Dulong. Among all the animal medicines, the beasts were used most, and the next were insects, reptiles and amphibians. There was no conformity between the relationship of such curatives and that of their languages. However, the relationship of their medical culture was more inextricably linked to their living environment and lifestyle
