Starting with the opportunities and challenges faced by e-government and libraries in the omnimedia era, this paper explores the co-developing mechanism of them . Through the mutual correlation, cooperation, coordination, sharing business activities and specific resources of e-government and library, e-government could be boosted rapidly, healthily and sustainahly, and the social function and value of library could be promoted further.
