As accepted by more and more countries,compartmentalization plays an important role in controlling animal diseases and facilitating international trade of animals and animal products. The application progress of compart-mentalization was reviewed in this article,with the technical measures of compartment construction for avian influenza in particular,so as to provide references in avian influenza free compartment construction in the country.
