In the novel A Dream of Red Mansions,there are a large number of poems.This phenomenon makes the novel demonstrating a rich lyric mean as they are generated in the emotion action.However,as they are placed in the calm narration,having the difference in their forms,and free in acceptance process,their interpretation spaces are expanded,which makes the novel's intention fuzzy.Participating in narrative,analogy in imagery,euphemistic,blending in feeling and setting,all these are the characteristics of the poems in this novel,different from western novels.From the writer's life and his talents,we find that in these poems there contains the emotional core which is the deep love for his life and the deep regret because of the disillusionment.
