从传教士在华外语教学活动看当下高校外语教学改革

On College Foreign Languages Teaching Reform in Perspective of Missinoaries' Teaching Practise in China

摘要 传教士在华开展的外语教学活动长达120余年。他们在三个不同的阶段对我国的外语教学做出了卓有成效的探索。这些外语教学的先声尝试对当下的高校外语教学改革亦有启示与借鉴作用。这些启示可以归纳为五点:一是教学目的应因势利导,多元并存;二是教学内容应固本拓域,人文引领;三是教学方法应多彩纷呈,为我所用;四是教材运用应整合资源,凸显校本;五是教师教育应内外兼行,系统发展。 Missionaries have conducted foreign language teaching practice in China for over 120 years. Their teaching practice in different sages made a great contribution to the Chinese foreign language teach-ing development, which also could enlighten present college teaching in the following aspect: setting up multicultural teaching aims according to educational reform needs, organizing knowledge -centered teaching contents guided by humanism; adapting diverse teaching methods for individual requirement;providing resourceful teaching material with college characteristics and developing systematic teacher edu-cation internally and externally.
