当前高等院校教育改革提出大学生素质的全面发展,其核心是人文素质教育。英美文学课程,通过语言把文学与文化结合,作为我国大学英语专业实现学生人文素质教育的主干课程,通过英美文学教学渗透人文素质教育,使学生所学知识最终转化为科学求实的创新能力,实施人文精神培养,才能实践现代教育全面发展的目标。

At present, colIeges＇ educational reform has put forward the integrated quality development of college stu- dents, whose core is humanistic quality education. British and American literature courses provide the college students potent literary quality and cultural background so as to ex- pand their quality; British and American literature courses help the students to change their knowledge into the innova- tion ability, and uhimately, realize the humanistic quality cultivation.
