二语口语词汇加工中的跨语言语音干扰研究 被引量:7

Cross-linguistic phonological interference in L2 spoken word processing

摘要 二语口语词汇加工中的跨语言语音干扰,是指在口语交际进行中,学习者因受母语语音系统影响导致无法区分一些二语对比音,造成二语心理词库的不稳固,从而干扰和影响了口语词汇语义的通达。本文通过三个连续实验,从不同角度研究这一问题。结果表明,中国英语学习者口语词汇加工中的跨语言语音干扰主要表现在三个方面:1)把语流中的近似词误听为真词,诱发额外的词汇竞争;2)混淆由对比音组成的词汇最小对立体,造成错误的词汇激活;3)把语流嵌入部分的声学波形错误地映射到心理词库的真词上。本文的研究结论将有助于人们更为深入地认识国外学者提出的"外语听力综合症"这一问题。 Cross-linguistic phonological interference in L2 spoken word processing concerns itself with the fact that L2 speakers,under the influence of their LI phonological system,may have difficulty in distinguishing certain L2 phonetic contrasts,which in turn results in cross-lexical interference in their access to L2 words meaning.Using three experiments,this article approached this issue from three different perspectives.The results indicated that Chinese speakers had difficulty in perceiving English vowel contrasts /i/-/I/ and experienced cross-lexical effects in three different ways:1) they misinterpreted near-words as real words resulting in lexical competitions;2) they mistook a word for its minimal pair,thereby causing spurious lexical activation;3) they mapped the unfolding acoustic waveform to the wrong lexical representations in the mental lexicon.These findings could provide insights into the so-called 'foreign listening syndrome'.
