摘要
大学作为理性而严谨的学术机构,具有自由、独立以及批判的精神特质。相较于遮蔽公共性的"政治人"、丧失批判精神的"经济人"和缺乏人文情怀的"专业人"等异化身份,大学教师具有"知识人"的外在形态和无限可能,大学教师"知识人"身份赋予了大学人格化的魅力,并使大学展现出自身的精神特质。若大学教师失却"知识人"身份及其意蕴,自由、独立以及批判的大学精神亦无以展现。大学与"知识人"身份的大学教师具有强烈的精神共契性和内在统一性。当下的大学教师与"知识人"身份严重疏离的事实令大学教师"知识人"身份的复归和重构十分紧迫且意义重大。而恪守"公共知识分子"精神,倡导人格独立与思想自由,重塑超越、批判的价值观,践行"以人为本"的大学教师职业理想,应是当下大学教师身份复归与重构的应有之义和必然路径。
As a rational and rigorous academic institution, the university has qualities of being free, independent and critical. Compared with alien identities such as "political person", which shields publicity, "economic person", which loses critical spirit, and "professional person", which lacks humanistic feelings, university teachers have the external form of and the possibility to be "knowledge persons". The university teachers' identity of "knowledge persons" gives the charm of personification to the university and makes the university represent its own spiritual qualities. If university teachers lose the identity of "knowledge persons" and its implication, the university spirit of being free, independent and critical has nowhere to show. Universities and university teachers with the identity of "knowledge persons" have strong connection both spiritually and internally. The alienation between university teachers nowadays and the identity of "knowledge persons" makes the reconstruction of university teachers as "knowledge persons" urgent and important. The necessary path of identity reconstruction includes abiding by the spirit of "public intellectual", promoting personality independence and freedom of thought, remodeling the value of transcending and criticizing, and live up to the university teachers' professional ideal of "people oriented".
