The garlic production and distribution in the world＇s major producing areas as well as in our country were summarized.The artificial and mechanized cutting process of garlic roots and the related machineries at home and abroad were introduced and analyzed.Two kinds of mechanized functional parts can be learnt from other crops harvesting machinery.The feasible solution of developing the integrity garlic mechanized harvesting on combine harvester was expounded.
