基于语料库的中国诗歌英译语言特征探析

A Corpus-based Study of the Linguisitic Features of the English Translation of Chinese Poems

利用语料库相关检索软件,通过对比中国诗歌英语译文与英语原创诗歌在词汇、句法及语篇层面上的差异,揭示中国诗歌英译的语言特点。研究结果表明,英译诗歌用词更加丰富,辞藻更为华丽,呈现出显化和范化趋势。以上结果不仅取决于译入语自身的语内扩张,同时与中英诗歌语言特点也有着密切关系。

Based on the corpus, this paper attempts to investigate the linguisitic features of the English translations of Chinese poems through comparing with the originals in lexical, syntactical and textual levels. The results show that the translated poems tend to use more various vocabularies and be more explicit and normal in both syntactical and textual levels, which is not only relevant to the intralingual expansion of the translated language, but also related to the linguisitic features of poetry.
