摘要
20世纪是个反思现代性的时代,如尼采、海德格尔、列奥·施特劳斯等。美国作家苏珊·桑塔格亦感受到现代性困扰,并以"重新定位文化价值"之"重新"来呈现其现代性。究其根源,桑氏现代性之"新"来自其两个"边缘性"身份:犹太人和"同性恋者"。身处边缘的处境激发她不断地"更新"思想,"重新定位文化价值","新感受力"和"坎普"便是其现代性之"新"的代表。桑氏认为,其现代性之"新",主要源自犹太人的道德严肃性与同性恋者的唯美主义。它们二者创造的"新感受力"打破了简单的二元对立原则,抒写出桑氏独特的现代性。
The 20 th century was an era which widely reflected modernity. The American writer Susan Sontag realized the paradox of modernity just like Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche,Martin Heidegger,Leo Strauss,Hannah Arendt. Thus She struggled to 'renew the value of culture',by which to represent her modernity. To track down its root,the 'newness'of Sontag's modernity came from two 'margin'identities: Jew and Lesbian.. The anguish of margin stimulated her infinite creativity,renewed her thoughts and the value of her culture. 'New sensibility'and 'Camp'stood her modernity. In Sontag's eyes,her newness of modernity mainly originated Jew's moral seriousness and Lesbian's Aestheticism, which created 'new sensibility',broke simple doctrine of dualism,and then expressed out Sontag's special modernity.
