《中国》杂志是丁玲在1985年发起创刊的文学刊物,虽然只短暂地存在了两年时间,但成功地推出了一批当代著名作家,为当代文学留下了许多优秀作品。其停刊是1980年代文学史上的重要事件,当时在社会上尤其是文艺界里激起了巨大的抗议声浪。《中国》以革新的独特方式参与了新时期文学史的书写,为新时期多元化文学格局的生成贡献了自己的力量。其不少办刊理念与实践经验都开了后来期刊改革的先河,于今仍有借鉴意义。

China was a literature periodical initiated by Ling Ding in 1985. Not only did it recommend a group of famous contemporary writers,but it also left behind many excellent works in two years,although it was a very short time. The closure of it was a significant event in literature history in 1980 s. It met with protest from the society,especially from the world of literature and art at that time. China got involved in the literature history in an innovative way. It has made a great contribution to the diverse literature patterns in the new time. It is a pioneer of periodical reform. Its ideas and experiences afford us lessons effectively as well.
