摘要
中国人对'纸'有着特殊的情感,这种情感在中国传统文人画和民间艺术中有着较为明显的体现。中国绘画语言处理上的'留白'与材质层面技艺上的'剪刻',是中国传统文化中对'纸'诠释的较好典型艺术文化的发展要与时俱进,当代艺术语境下'纸'又置于何种境地?以吕胜中和李洪波为代表的中国当代艺术家在不断探索中给出了他们的答案。纸的文化属性和精神内涵,被这样一批优秀艺术家所发掘,也由此引出本文的一些思考;以纸为代表的传统技艺如何在当代艺术的大背景下为艺术家更好更智慧地运用,是传统技艺遭遇当代艺术的一个不可回避的问题。
Chinese have a special feeling for "paper" and the feeling is well reflected in traditional Chinese paintings of man of letters and folk art. The "blank-leaving" in the handling of Chinese paintings and the "outlining and portraying" technique at the level of material are typical examples for the interpretation of "paper" by traditional Chinese culture. The development of art and culture should keep up with the times, then what is the situation of "paper" in the context of eontemporary art? With regard to this problem, contemporary Chinese artists, represented by Lv Shengzhong and Li Hongbo, have given their own answers in their continuous explorations. The cultural attrihutes and spiritual connotations of paper, discovered by such a group of outstanding artists, have aroused some reflections of this paper: how traditional art, represented by paper, is better and more intelligently applied by artists inthe background of contemporary art, is an inevilable issue when traditional techniques encounter contemporary art.
