摘要 YANG, Geng (1956-), is a noted professor in the School of Philosophy at Beijing Normal University (BNU), and the vice president of BNU. Professor Yang's achievements include constructing a new Marxist philosophical system which departs from the scheme of traditional Marxist philosophy. He has published a number of monographs, such as Defending Marx: A New Interpretation of Marxist Philosophy, Reconstruction in the Crisis: A Modern Explanation of the Materialist View of History, and Rise of the East: A Philosophical Reflection on Chinese-style Modernization.
