外商直接投资、垂直专业化与企业研发投入——基于中国工业企业数据库的实证检验

Foreign Direct Investment, Vertical Specialization and R&D Investment——Empirical Testing Based on Chinese Industrial Enterprises Database

首先分析了外商直接投资在垂直专业化组织对国内企业研发投入的作用机制,并利用2005~2007年中国工业企业数据,实证检验了垂直专业化和两类外商直接投资对国内企业研发投入决策和企业研发规模增长中的作用。研究发现,外商直接投资和垂直专业化从总体上促进了中国企业研发规模的增长。外商直接投资在四种技术水平行业中分布和垂直专业化分工地位不同,造成了较大差别的研发投入效应,外商直接投资对中高技术行业研发投入促进作用较为突出。

In this paper we analyze the mechanism effect of foreign direct investment on the domestic firms RD investment in the organization of vertical specialization. Then we use Chinese industrial enterprises data in 2005-2007, and test empirically the role of vertical specialization and two types of FDI on domestic RD investment decisions and the growth of RD investment scale. We found that foreign direct investment and vertical specialization in general promote the growth of Chinese enterprises RD scale. FDI distribution and different positions in vertical specialization in four different skill levels industry, resulting in large differences effects of RD investment, the role of foreign direct investment promoting RD investment in medium-high-tech industry is more prominent.
