摘要
清人张庚在《国朝画徵录》里称查士标"与同里孙逸、汪之瑞、释弘仁称四大家"。在"新安四家"中,汪之瑞是最为纵情任性的一位,他的山水画创作对个人情感的抒发远大于对绘画技巧的追求,画面重写意而不求工细。汪之瑞与查士标交往最为密切,他们之间不仅有着深厚的同乡之谊,而且客居扬州时还经常聚首交流绘画艺术。在查士标的眼中,汪之瑞性情豪迈,特立独行,是类似于米芾一样的人物和颇有个性的画家。在存世至今的汪之瑞画作上,几乎每一幅作品上都有查士标的题跋,这些题跋既有对汪之瑞性格、绘画技巧的描述,又有对汪之瑞绘画观念的赏识与赞许。本文通过文献和绘画资料,勾勒了查士标与汪之瑞之间的交往过程,分析了他们二人在师法传统上的相似与画风观念上的不同。
As Zhang Geng writes in Guo Chao Hua Zheng Lu [国朝画徽录], Zha Shibiao "and his fellow townsmen Sun Yi, Wang Zhirui and Shi Hongren are 'four masters of art'". Of the 'four masters from Xin'an; Wang Zhirui was the wildest one, because as a landscapist, he gave much more priority to free expression of personal feelings than techniques. A close friend of Zha Shibiao, Wang often had discussions with Zha on art and painting while both were living in Yangzhou. To Zha, Wang was a bold person, a painter of strong personality like Mi Fu. In his inscriptions, which can be seen on almost all the surviving works of Wang, Zha comments on the latter's personality and painting techniques and makes complimentary remarks on his concepts of painting. By tracing back friendship between the two artists based on records and artworks, the current author compares their drawing on traditions and artistic styles.
