Amendments to SOLAS Regulation Ⅱ-1/11 on Testing of Water Tightness from IMO and the Impacts Thereof

介绍国际上对船舶舱室密性试验的主要要求,梳理了IMO关于SOLAS Ⅱ-1/11公约修订议题的主要内容及进展情况。结合我国船厂现状,分析了公约的执行可能对船舶建造周期、成本及船厂质量体系带来的影响,并在此基础上,提出了对策和建议。

This paper is aimed at giving a comprehensive review of the draft regulation on testing of water tightness,with the brief introduction to the amendments to SOLAS regulation II-1/11 and its application, the explanation of the core requirements on construction period and cost for ship, as well as the analysis of the quality system of shipyard. The possible impacts of the coming regulation amendments to SOLAS II-1/11, and the required capacity of the shipyard in conjunction with the respond strategy, have been pointed out based on the po- tential water tightness policies and practices in China.
