一类聚乙烯吡啶氢键侧链高分子的合成与液晶性能

Synthesis and characterization of a series of novel polyvinylpyridine hydrogen bond inducible liquid crystal

摘要 以聚乙烯吡啶为氢键受体,以Schiff碱型羧酸衍生物为氢键给体合成了一类新型侧链氢键液晶高分子。通过红外光谱和核磁氢谱对化合物的结构进行了表征;产物与氢键给体的红外光谱的对比确定了分子间氢键的存在,通过带热台的偏光显微镜(POM)对化合物的液晶相变温度和液晶相的形态进行了测试。结果表明:随着碳链长度的增加,此类侧链氢键液晶高分子液晶相的清亮点温度呈现先降低后升高的趋势;并且液晶相呈现了新型的织构。 In this paper,a series of novel side chain hydrogen-bond liquid crystalline polymers were synthesized by using the polyvinylpyridine as the hydrogen-bond acceptor and the schiff base-type carboxylic acid derivatives as the donor.The structure of relative compounds were characterized by FT-IR and 1 H-NMR.The existence of hydrogen bond was confirmed by the contrast with the data of FT-IR for the product and the hydrogen-bond donor.The translation temperature and liquid crystalline behaviour of the complex were detected by the polarizing microscope.The conclusion was obtained that the clearing point temperature decreased first and then increased with the increasing of the carbon chain,and a new liquid crystalline texture was gained.
