Declaration materials help to show society the attitude and position about the related matters or issues. Under the integration pattern of the modern world, the translation work of declaration materials is needed. Based on K. Reiss＇ text type theory, declaration materials can be classified as expressive, informative and operative text category. According to different translation methods of different text type given by K. Reiss, the case study leads us to explore the proper translation strategy of declaration materials.
