Liu Xue is the youngest member of Dongfeng Race Team,as well as the youngest contestant in the2014-2015 Volvo Ocean Race.During the24 days in the ocean,he has tried many things for the first time,including first participation in ocean sailing,staying in the sailing boat for more than 20 days and the most unforgettable experience of sailing cross the equator in the Indian Ocean.For any sailor,sailing across the equator for the first time in his/her life is a memorable moment.Liu Xue had the chance at 21,making others jealous of him. 'Sailing across the equator in the Indian Ocean is a milestone in my life.I am not a green hand anymore.' Liu Xue grinned when he told the story.
