The context in the new era has greatly changed the semantics of libraries. This paper takes the James B.Hunt Jr. Library in North Carolina State University as an example, and keeps a record of these changes. By means of rearranging the resources of paper books,Hunt Library redefines the cultural taste of paper book reading in the digital media era. It is unwilling to be marginalized in teaching and research fields, so it not only makes a breakthrough on the basic semantics of the "book" library, but also reconstructs various functional spaces with high-technology tightly. In this way,it sets up the image of "Transformers" in teaching and research fields for the rest of academic libraries.
