2015年6月16日，最高人民检察院提请全国人大常委会授权，在部分地区开展为期两年的提起公益诉讼改革试点工作．2015年5月5日，中央全面深化改革领导小组第12次会议审议通过了《检察机关提起公益诉讼改革试点方案》，将生态环境和资源保护领域作为公益诉讼的重点。
According to Legal Daily, the Supreme People＇s Procuratorate submitted to the NPC Standing Committee for authorization to run pilot reform programs of the system of filing public interest litigation lasting two years in some regions on June 16, 2015. Plan for Pilot Reform of Prosecutorial Organs Filing Public Interest Litigation was deliberated and adopted at the 12th meeting of the leading group of the CPC Central Committee on comprehensively deepening the reform on May 5, 2015, making ecological environment and resource protection as the focus of public interest litigation.
