摘要
以保守著称的耶鲁大学自1828年《耶鲁报告》诞生以后,就一直传承通识教育的传统。报告中首先界定了几种教育的概念,区分了大学与专科院校的不同,凸显了通识教育的价值。只有实践才能充分贯彻将通识教育理念,耶鲁大学历任校长的开拓与进取促进了通识教育的发展。历任耶鲁大学校长的实践,扩大了通识教育课程范围,不断革新通识教育课程模式,也促进了通识教育课程管理体制的正规化发展。给我国大学通识教育的改革与发展带来诸多思考,必须重视大学校长的统筹领导作用,注重改革的渐进性以及创新通识教育的管理模式。
Yale University,known for conservative. When "Yale Report"published in 1828,general education became Yale University's tradition. The report defines the concept of several education,makes a comparison of universities and academies,highlights the value of general education.Only practice can fully implement the general education. Presidents' pioneering and enterprising of Yale University promotes the development of general education. Not only expands the scope of general education courses,innovates general education curriculum model,but also promotes the formalization of the general education curriculum management system. Bringing some reflections to our university reform and development of general education,we should pay attention to the university president's role of overall leadership,focusing on the progressive of reform,and innovating the mode of management.
