摘要
在人口老龄化背景下,美国老年人通过选举投票、参加老年人组织、网络参政等方式积极参与美国政治,并表现出一些极具老年特色的参政风格。相较于青年群体,美国老年人的政治参与度更高、差异性明显、倾向性更强且更具理性。通过政治参与,美国老年人不仅影响了政府决策,为自身谋得了政治、经济、社会等方面的利益,而且对美国民主制度的维系、积极老龄化社会的建构等意义重大。
Under the background of aging society, elderly people of United States actively take part in politics by voting, joining elderly organizations, and participating internet civic engagement. Compared with the youth group, the elderly people＇ s political engagement shows some special characters： the participations are more positive; the differences more remarkable; the preferences stronger and more rational. Through the political participation, the older people have not only influenced the decisions of the government so that they have sought political, economic and social benefits, but also contributed to maintain democracy and build the positive aging society.
