《诗经·小雅·常棣》“原隰裒矣”考辨

A Study on“原隰裒矣”in Book of Songs:Xiaoya,Changdi

《诗经·小雅·常棣》中"原隰裒矣,兄弟求矣"一句古今解释不一,主要因为"裒"的词义解释不清。辨析古今学者对"裒"的训释,从句法上分析出"裒"的主语只能是"原隰",从语义上探求"裒"的本义为"用手刨土放置于筐中","裒"应为反训词,兼有"减少"和"聚集"二义。"原隰裒矣"应解释成"自然界发生重大变化"。

Since ancient times, different interpretations have been made to＂原隰裒矣,兄弟求矣＂ in ＂Book of Songs ： Xiaoya, Changdi＂, mainly because of the vague definition of ＂裒＂. By discriminating and analyzing the annotations made by scholars in all ages, we can figure it out that syntactically,＂裒＂can only function as the subject of ＂原隰＂ while semantically, the original meaning of ＂裒＂is excavating soil with hands, then placing in the basket. Considering the academic research on enantiosemy, the author believes that ＂裒＂ should be an enan- tiosemy sharing both the meaning of ＂diminish＂ and ＂accumulate＂. Therefore, ＂原隰裒矣＂should be interpreted as ＂great changes arise in nature＂.
