英国智库有着悠久的历史,发展较为完善和成熟,智库的身影在英国媒体中随处可见。英国智库的多元思想和发展目标,使得不同智库呈现出不同的政治倾向。他们或为政客和一些组织机构出谋划策,或通过其它途径影响政府决策。尤其是在政党政治上,英国的一些主要智库在撒切尔政府时期以及之后工党政府和卡梅伦政府的关键决策中扮演了重要的角色,对英国社会的现代化进程产生了重大影响。但是,我们也应该看到,英国智库仍然面临着一些问题,其对英国政党政治的影响具有局限性,仍有一些值得反思的地方。

The British think-tanks have a very long history with mature systems.The ideas of think-tanks can be found everywhere in the British medias.The diverse goals of different think-tanks present different policy trends.By offering advice to politicians or some organizations, British think-tanks put influence upon governmental decisions and party politics. Some major British think-tanks have played important roles in key decisions of Thatcher government, Labour government and Cameron government, and made huge impact on the social modernization in the United Kimdom. But we should also see the British think-tanks have suffered some weakpoints as well as the limitations of their influence in the British party politics.
