Self-growth and Adolescents' Happiness:The Research on the Effectiveness of Growth Group in High School Students' Parents

家庭是社会的细胞,构建和谐社会,离不开和谐家庭的建立。父母是孩子的第一任老师和终身老师,其教育的理念、态度和方法将直接影响家庭教育的效果,进而影响子女的健康成长和家庭的幸福。团体辅导已被证实是提高家长素质的有效途径之一,研究采用家长成长团体的形式,通过18次团体辅导,探讨其在改变家长教养态度、改善亲子沟通和家庭氛围上的作用。选取"父母教养态度量表""亲子沟通问卷"和"家庭亲密度和适应性量表"对78名团体成员及其伴侣和子女进行前后测。结果表明:家长成长团体提升了家长家庭教育的素质和家庭建设的能力,将家长成长团体辅导运用到亲职教育中是可行、有效的。

Family is the cell of society. The establishment of harmonious society is based on the building of harmonious families. Parents are the first and lifelong teachers of the children, which means parents＇ notions, attitudes and methods have directly in- fluence on the effectiveness of family education, and then affect the children＇s development and home happiness. It has been proved that group counseling is the effective method to promote the parents＇ competence on family education. Hence, the 18 ses- sions of parents＇ self-growth group, consisting of 78 high school students＇ parents, were carried out to help parents update their parenting attitudes, improve the quantity of parent-adolescent communication and family atmospheres. Parents Attitude Scale, Parent-Adolescent Communication Scale and Family Intimacy and Adaptability Scale were adopted to measure the developing process and final outcome of group members and their families （ partner and child） before and after the interventions. The result revealed that the application of group counseling in parents＇ education was feasible and valid, which had positive impacts on recti- fying parents＇ education notions, parenting attitudes and ultimately improving the family relationships and promoting the parents＇ abilities in family building. Nevertheless it seems that the parents＇ solid confidence in family education, fully understanding of each other and the significant changes in parent-adolescent communication and family atmosphere takes longer to develop.
