By analyzing cause of the noise for the motor, this paper focused on expoun-ding mechanism of mechanical vibration noise and electromagnetic noise of the motor, proposes methods to detect noise of the motor and reduce noise of the motor. They can provide effective basis for restrain production of the noise for the motor. Classification of noise of the motor is al-so introduced.
