The Evolution of Militarism of Japanese Modern Education

在日本近现代国家发展进程中,教育始终居于重要地位。日本近代教育的发展一方面加速了日本追赶西方列强的近代化进程;另一方面,其狭隘的国家主义理念及政治统治教育的管理模式形成了日本教育的"病态模式",不仅使得近代教育被封建军国思想所支配,还沦为政府对内维护专制统治、对外侵略扩张的工具。

Education always plays an important role in the process of modernization of Japan. On the one hand, the development of modern education makes Japan speed up to catch up the western powers in moderni-zation. On the other hand,“unhealthy” education model formed by its narrowly nationalistic idea and political control of education management, not only makes the modern education dominated by the military feudal ideas, but also become a tool for government to maintain authoritarian rule and the expansion and aggression.
