变译理论观照下的电视纪录片解说词翻译——以《美丽中国》为例

On the Translation of Commentary in TV Documentary Guided by Variation——A Case Study of Wild China

变译理论是基于大量的翻译实践总结提出的一套颇具本土特色和意识的翻译理论。变译是以读者为目标的具体翻译方法,其本质是变通,追求有效。与原版相较,央视版电视纪录片《美丽中国》的中文解说词在信息容量、内容精度、叙事角度、语气态度多个方面呈现出明显差异。文章借变译理论,对比分析中英两个版本的撰写处理,体现变译活动的效果。笔者认为,《美丽中国》的解说译文是成功的。

The theory of translation variation is concluded from lots of practice with typical characteristics. This theory refers to concrete translating methods aiming at serving the readers,and considers the achievement of variation as its nature. This paper is a case study of TV documentary Wild China. There are two versions referred,one is from BBC, the other from CCTV. A lot of differences can be seen in the commentaries,such as contents and correctness,narrative perspectives,moods and attitudes. Based on the theory of translation variation, the author analyzes the efficiency of the Chinese version from the view of standards of accommodation and holds that the CCTV version can be considered successful.
