光学神经网络研究及其在模式识别中的应用

STUDY ON OPTICAL NEURAL NETWORKS AND THEIR APPLICATIONS IN PATTERN RECOGNITIONS

本文简要介绍国家自然科学基金委员会“七五”重大项目“光学神经网络的研究及其在模式识别中的应用”的研究意义、研究内容和研究进展,着重介绍了在适于模式识别和光学实现的神经网络模型研究、光学神经网络中的基础技术研究与关键器件研制等方面所得到的主要进展。

A breif description of the major project, 'Study on optical neural networks and their applications in pattern recognition', supported by the National Natural Science Fundation of China, is presented in this paper. It includes the background and significance of, the contents covered by, and the branches divided from the project, the recent results of modelling for neural networks that are suitable for pattern recognitions and optical implementations, as well as the progress in developments of the essential techniques and the key devices for optical neural networks.
