On Environmental Art

扼要解读环境艺术概念、性质、特点、价值观念的变迁,以及环境艺术在中国的崛起与发展、提高设计水平要点等。环境艺术是人与周围的居住环境相互作用的艺术,它具有场所性、关系性、对话性和生态性特征,这一观念的形成经历了6个阶段,即实用价值观、艺术价值观、空间价值观、机器价值观、环境价值观和生态价值观。这里的变迁并非是后一个阶段代替前一个阶段,而是逐渐走向全面、深刻、复杂,达到综合整合认识的过程。

This article briefly interpret the evolution of the concept, nature, characteristics, values changes of environmental art, as well as the rise and development of environmental art in China, and the key points to improve the design level. It is believed that environmental art is the art of interaction between man and the surrounding living environment, and it has characteristics of place, relation, dialogue and ecology. The formation of the concept went through six stages, namely： practical values, artistic values, spatial values, machine values, environmental values and ecological values. This evolution is not the later stage replacing the previous stage, but a process gradually towards the comprehensive, profound, complex and integrated understanding.
