When results were announced at the 11th China International Press Photo Contest, the largest competition of its kind in Asia, it came as no surprise that photographer Li Fan had won a gold award. This is the 7th gold award that the Chinese photographer has earned at the prestigious competition. His 2015 gold award is in the contest＇s portraiture category for a collection of photos of Yi, Tajik and other national minority women in Sichuan. His entry, ten ＂Portraits of National Minority Women in Western China,＂ captures their way of life, national dress, and sincere expressions.
