董大酉:面对现实、拥抱“现代建筑”的设计姿态

DONG DAYOU:DESIGN ATTITUDE OF FACING THE REALITY AND EMBRACING THE “MODERN ARCHITECTURE”

实际上,董大酉是一名代表官方的建筑师,曾被"上海市中心区域建设委员会"聘为顾问兼建筑师办事处主任建筑师,主持《大上海计划》,及接触到政府项目,并予以实践,同时,他也成立个人事务所,开始承接民用项目。在这之中,董大酉面对现实、考量经费,适度地调整设计策略,踏出向"现代建筑"迈进的步伐。最终,在住宅设计中,他对"现代建筑"的试验与追求得到了完全的挥洒,为自己在设计上寻求了一个突破。

As a matter of fact, Dong Dayou was an architect on behalf of the authority, who used to be the consultant and head architect of the architects' offi ce hired by the 'Central Area Construction Committee of Shanghai'. He presided over the 'Great Shanghai Plan ', and accessed to the government projects and put them in practice. At the same time, he also set up his own office, and began to undertake civil projects. In his practice, Dong Dayou faced the reality, considered and examined the funds, and reasonably adjusted the design strategy, which made him step forward to the 'modern architecture'. His test and pursuit of 'modern architecture' was brought into full play in his residential design that sought a breakthrough in his design career.
