摘要
当代美国高校图书馆正经历着深刻转型。作为大学校园最重要的学习场所,如何在全新的学习图景中找寻和扮演新的角色,已成为高校图书馆设计的核心。本文主要从如何创造共享学习空间的视角,介绍在北卡罗来纳州立大学百年校区新建的亨特图书馆,一窥其建筑、书库、室内等方面的设计特点,并讨论该图书馆如何以创新的方式,改变和整合不同类型的非正式学习空间,在找寻新角色的过程中作出有益的尝试。
Libraries in American universities have gone through profound changes. As one of the most important learning hubs on campuses, they are at a critical moment in fitting into the current dynamic learning landscape. This paper is intended to introduce the new James B. Hunt Jr. Library at North Oarolina State University designed as an innovative type of learning com- mons.
